The Carer Centre Clubhouse full range of clubs, courses, groups and events which are free to Carers who are registered with us.
The Carer Clubhouse is situated at Fishwick House, Cotham Street, WA10 1SJ and can be found opposite from St Helens Town Hall.

Many of our events need a pre booking, if this is the case you can book on by pressing the button below each event and we will confirm your place within a few days. Sometimes we have last minute cancellations, so you can always telephone us on the day to see if there is a place available.

Universal Credit Drop In - Friday 12th December 2025 - 10am-1pm
Do you need support or advice around Universal Credit? If you are a Carer and need help with Universal Credit including digital support, just drop in between 10am – 1pm on any Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) to our Main Carers Centre in Baldwin Street. No need to book an appointment-just turn up. We can help with Advice and UC calculations, check your awards, payments and to do list, change in circumstances, digital support and new claims. Takes Place At Main Carers Centre Building, 31-35 Baldwin Street.

Carers Guitar Group - Friday 12th December 2025 – 1.30pm-3.00pm
Whether you are a fully fledged player or an absolute beginner, guitar, ukulele, banjo or whatever. This group is for you. Its a relaxed Friday mid afternoon group, with a cuppa, and sounds! All carers welcome to this friendly group which meets weekly.

Crafty Carers Group - Monday 15th December 2025: 1.30pm - 3.30pm
If you are a crafty person or want to get started, whether its knitting, decoupage, card making or something else, this friendly group is for you. Have a cuppa and a chat but more importantly fun. We have materials too or you can bring your own. No experience needed and no need to book.

Our weekly Tea n Toast sessions are for Carers to drop in and have a natter and offload with other Carers. These friendly sessions allow you to make contacts with other Carers and relax for an hour or two and have a cuppa and toast and a laugh. No need to book, just drop in anytime between 10am and 12 noon.

This session is free, hilarious but extremely popular so you must book in advance. Come along for a chance to have some fun with other Carers.

Former Carers Group - Friday 19th December 2025 - 10am – 12 Noon
This Group provides support and a social environment for Carers who have ended their caring responsibilities in whatever circumstances. Come along and enjoy a chat and a cuppa in The Clubhouse with like-minded others while taking care of your own wellbeing and health. No need to book on this informal session which is held monthly.

Our Carers Clubhouse will be closed from 1pm Tuesday 23rd December until 10am on Tuesday 30th December. Our main Carer Centre office is open daily except for weekends and the Christmas Bank Holidays

Welfare/Disability Benefits Drop-in Clinic - Thursday 8th January 2026 - 10am – 3pm
Do you need a Welfare Benefits check or have any questions about the welfare or disability benefits the person you care for is receiving or may be entitled to? Drop in on one of these special days without an appointment. Alternatively, you can call us on 01744 675 615 to book a telephone appointment at a more convenient time. This clinic is held at our Carers Centre at 31-35 Baldwin Street.
